  19. To just see the init try this (easier than registry and more informative  
  20. as the init is put together from different settings of your modem options  
  21. checkboxes):

  23.  In *Win95* there`s a menu `modems` where the advanced register has the
  24.  checkbox `record a logfile`. When this box is checked you will find any
  25.  modem work (and init/connect message) in the file modemlog.txt in your
  26.  windows directory.
